What Inman Park looks like
Inman Park was Atlanta's first planned suburb. Joel Hurt laid it out in the late 1880s on more than 130 acres east of the city. To reach it he ran Atlanta's first electric streetcar line out along . Joseph Forsyth Johnson did the landscaping, which is why the streets curve rather than run on a grid.
The houses built along them are large and close together. Most are frame houses of two and three storeys with deep porches. Several have turrets. They sit on raised lots behind iron fences.
Once people had cars the money moved north to Morningside and Buckhead, and by the 1960s the big houses had been chopped into small apartments. Robert Griggs bought the when it was a rundown rental and put it back to a single house. Others followed him, and the neighborhood came back a house at a time rather than being rebuilt.
The Mead paper plant on the west side is now. Further south the old truck shed at 99 Krog Street was Tyler Perry's first studio from 2006. It opened as in 2014.
The is the western boundary and the market backs onto it. On the south the MARTA tracks sit beside and the Inman Park station is on that line. sits in the middle of the neighborhood, with a pond and a playground.

The show needed the two families living across the street from each other and found both houses on these streets. The exteriors were shot here for all ten episodes, from the end of April to the middle of October 2025. The interiors were built at Assembly Studios in Doraville, and the crew walked the homeowners through the copies of their own rooms. The iron fences and the brick streets are what brought the production to Inman Park in the first place. Trees lean over the road the same way they do in Savannah, so the greens department hung Spanish moss in them in March and left it up until the shoot finished. Neighbors were posting about Atlanta's new Spanish moss before anyone worked out where it had come from. Reporting on the show has not said which two houses they were.

Inman Park can stand in for Savannah's historic district, in Cape Fear, turn of the century money in a southern city and a big Victorian house with a deep porch.
